As the Senior Manager of Digital Content for NASCAR Jason Christley acts as an air traffic controller for every NASCAR series – each one with different logistics and opportunities when it comes to photography. But the strategy is always the same: capturing moments that help people fall in love with racing.

Jason and his team are responsible for moving those images quickly, whether they need a photo for social media in real time during a race, or the New York Times is looking for a gallery of throwback images for a story.

In this Inside Look session from The PhotoShelter Summit for Brands, Jason walks through NASCAR’s visual storytelling strategy, and explains his team’s process behind the scenes.

Watch the video to learn:

  • How NASCAR moved images quickly out to social media as one of the first sports to return from the sports pause
  • How NASCAR makes it easy for reporters, venues, teams and drivers to access imagery quickly and easily
  • Why an organized media library is a key part of owning NASCAR’s narrative
